Brayered Doily

Doilies are on every card I see lately so I though I should give it a try.
I took a regular paper doily and brayered it with some ink. I tried a few colors. WOW! they really PoP! with the added color. I found that if you brayered lightly you cant get a negative look, Very cool!

This card  was inspired by Week #11 - 'Polka Dot Tea Party'
Check out this picture Kim posted, It's one fun pic!

Green Glamor.

Can you say Green Glamor! Today I am all about green and beads. Do you bead? I have made many pieces of jewelry over the years. But! I have never used beads on a card, today's is the first. I also have a beautiful glass bead necklace to show you! Let check out the card...

Did you see the beads on the butterflies body? I love the way it looks. The Cinema ladies have a Jane Austin theme going on with Becoming Jane. Fabulous chick flick, about the life of Jane Austin! The lace flowers are very appropriate for tea time with Jane. The first Cinema Saturday challenge was a Jane Austin movie did you know that? I didn't, wish I done that one too!!!
 Okay More beads...
These are some hand made glass beads I bought in Mexico. Don't these green and blue beads look great together? I had them in a long strand before but my little one broke the string. So I have given the necklace a makeover.

for you,New Moon

I have been in caos over the last few days. My lovley mother bought us some fabulouse furniture from a yard sale. I have been moving the room around and a round trying to get it just perfect. I have spent so much time re-decorating that I almost missed this challenge...
I really enjoy the Twilight saga. I had to stop moving the stuff to make something.
I used the official movie poster for color inspiration. I love the warm forest-y color in the picture. The colors are like the Embellish Dimension & Color Challenge, organic and warm.
I used foam squares to adhere the front of this card so the wrinkle could bend naturally.
Using Forest colors makes this a great card for a guy even thought it has flowers.
So I am sharing the card over at the Cards for men Challenge No.10 ~ Outdoorsy.
I also used the CPC #167 sketch, it was perfect for adding the silver filigree brads.

Hey all, Blogger had some trouble with Safari last night but I think they are friends again. {LOL} I tried to post this card last night, but I couldn't get them to cooperate.
Here is a little card I made for a little boy's baptism. I had a hard time thinking of anything so I look at some challenges for inspiration. {listed below}
I am also shocked to say that this card had NO embellishments. It really didn't need any.

Mom Goggles!

Hello, I am sure you are wondering what "Mom Goggles" are.
Well, have you heard of "Beer Googles"? ... when an intoxicated person finds everyone in there path attractive. "Mom Goggle" is similar. It effect those who nurture small children. We, the nurturers, find everything the child does absolutely WONDERFUL! You may have also heard of" P.I.G." {Parent Identified Genius}, possibly a heightened form of the Goggle Syndrome.  LOL!
As a crafter I think my kids art work is the best in the world. So today I shall succumb to the syndrome and show off some of my Mother's Day gifts.

I think her spelling is cute! {I know it's wrong.}

Aren't they wonderful! Two of my kids can't find what they made me so I am holding my applause...
I would love to see your kids art work leave a comment and a link so I may Ooh and Awwwwe at your little ones work. Please and Thank you!
